Minnesota makes great music. And now, Minnesota needs to make sure that music has a future. For decades, Minnesota musicians have been some of our state’s greatest global ambassadors. From legendary artists to the countless musicians building their careers in clubs, theaters, and DIY spaces across the state, our music community is a vital part of what makes Minnesota special. But today, local musicians and independent venues are facing a crisis. As corporate giants like Spotify and Live Nation reshape the music industry, artists are struggling to make a living, while the local venues that give our music community a home are struggling to survive. For too many musicians, recording new music or hitting the road is becoming financially untenable. That’s why we’re coming together for the Minnesota Needs Music Campaign Kickoff!
